“Why are they allowed here?” He waited for answers and hated what he saw – proud, happy nonbelievers, undeserving and without fear. He didn’t understand his place in the afterlife.

Everything was bathed in the expected light, but why did it illuminate nightmares and not the paradise of his eternal reward?

Confused and angry, he endured. Countless moments stitched themselves into an oppressive fabric he couldn’t measure, or bear. He belonged, not them.

He prayed. “You must set this right before my wife joins me here.” As it was, only the irredeemable could be content there, and he knew they were unworthy of heaven.
